Nanofluids enhance heat transfer in various applications, making them one of the most effective alternatives to conventional fluids. This study analyzes the impact of dispersing carbon-based nanoparticles such as Multi-Wall Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNTs), Nanodiamonds (ND), and Graphene Nanoparticles (GNPs) into distilled water on the heat transfer performance of quenched rods. Nanofluids of 0.05% mass concentration were prepared with an organic surfactant ‘Arabic Gum’ of a ratio 1-0.5. The quenching facility used consisted of a vertical tube furnace, a quartz glass tank, zirconium rods, an immersion thermocouple, a K-type thermocouple, a ceramic hot plate, Lab view software, and a data acquisition system. Nanoparticles stability assessed visually at three distinct times; the first, fifteenth, and thirty day and through scanning electron microscope (SEM) images. Results were compared based on optimum performance and increase in the minimum film boiling temperature (Tmin) during pool boiling, highlighting nanodiamonds superior heat enhancement.
