1.1This specification covers requirements for fuel grade methyl tertiary-butyl ether utilized in commerce, terminal blending, or downstream blending with fuels for spark-ignition engines. Other MTBE grades may be available for blending that are not covered by this specification.

1.2The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. No other units of measurement are included in this standard.
