This powerpoint presentation begins by quoting Canadian Justice O'Connor (? 11.3.5, Walkerton Report 2), "To support implementation of mandatory accreditation and operational planning, the Province should contribute start-up funding for a formal peer review program." It then provides two maps of Ontario, Canada that show the location of water utilities by population served and by 3rd party or owner operated. The topic of Peer Support is broken down into two stages, with the first stage broken down into two phases: Stakeholder Consultation and Needs Assessment; and, Peer Support Program Design and Budget. The powerpoint includes another presentation titled, "Support Programs to Develop a Quality Management System", by Saad Jasim, Chief Executive Officer of the Walkerton Clean Water Center. A brief overview of the Walkerton Clean Water Center is provided, along with the center's vision and goal of: creating a world-class institute dedicated to safe and secure drinking water for the people of Ontario; and, becoming renowned for our knowledge-based, innovative approach to training. The Center's Key Initiatives are presented and include: training delivery and coordination; information and advice for small systems; technology demonstration; education and outreach; and, research advice to minister. The Municipal Drinking Water Licensing Program is presented and includes: Risk Assessment; Quality Management System Policy; Emergency Management; and, Internal Audits.
