This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the New Jersey Water Supply Authority (NJWSA) and the Manasquan Water Treatment Plant and infrastructure. The Asset Management Plan Implementation Case Study is presented, and had the following objectives: evaluate condition, criticality, and remaining useful life of major plant assets; collect and analyze key asset attribute data including manufacturer, model, years in service, remaining useful life, etc.; assess future regulatory needs and issues; identify major capital projects required over the next 20 years to meet expected service level, risk, and/or regulatory requirements; short-term needs and long term R&R requirements; and, develop a 20 year financial analysis and expenditure forecast. NJWSA used a step process to develop the asset management plan that used the principles of asset management. Topics covered include: A Formal Condition Assessment Methodology Supported the AMP Development; Project Priority was determined by Evaluating Criticality and Condition; the AMP Outcome Aligned with NJWSA's Goal of Sustainability and Long Term Planning; Near Term Enhancement Projects were the Largest Driver of Financial Requirements; instrumentation and control enhancement projects; Sludge Lagoons and Recycle System Enhancement Project; the CIP Highlighted Financial Implications for the Communities Served; alternative funding options; and, Future Implementation Considerations for NJWSA. Includes figures.
