This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the Drinking Water Laboratory Response Preparedness Project and Regional Laboratory Response Plan (RLRP). The purpose of the plan is to: improve laboratory preparedness within each of the 10 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) regions for response to actual or suspected drinking water contamination incidents; establish effective approaches for multi-laboratory coordination in response to these incidents; and, establish the foundation for the Water Laboratory Alliance (WLA). The four-phase process of the Regional Laboratory Response Plan includes: a response plan template; meetings in each region to refine/customize plan template to meet the needs and challenges of labs in each region; table top exercises in each region to practice what the laboratories have agreed to in their customized plan; and, functional exercises to practice what the laboratories have agreed to in their customized plan. Plan characteristics are presented, along with plan fundamentals, Scope of Support Considered by Laboratories, similarities and differences among the RLRPs, and the Water Laboratory Alliance (WLA). Includes table.
