This powerpoint presentation begins by presenting study objectives that include the following: develop distribution system intrusion risk model and use to estimate risk of infection; and, if water is intruded through a leak after a low-pressure event, viruses and other pathogens may be introduced, and transported to water consumers. Experimental approach included: selecting test system; determining which locations have vulnerability to low pressure if power failure occurs; determining initial pathogen concentrations at intrusion nodes; identifying how pathogens introduced at initial locations will impact entire system; calculate total pathogen dose delivered to model nodes; and, calculate infection risk. Includes 8 references, figures.
