BS BSI Flex 2072 v1.0:2024-09

This BSI Flex specifies requirements for the operation of battery electric and hydrogen-fuelled heavy-duty vehicles (HDVs), including various aspects of workshop, activities, risk management, planning, personnel, layout, systems and operations.

This BSI Flex also provides requirements for the management of battery electric and hydrogen-fuelled HDVs for commissioning, inspection, diagnostics, installation, repair and maintenance, disposal, transportation and documentation.

This BSI Flex covers the additionality of batteries and hydrogen gas as fuel sources in the context of workshops and protocols for maintenance and inspection. Where other fuels are used in combination with these fuel sources (e.g. diesel fuel for either plug-in hybrid electric vehicles or hydrogen internal combustion engine vehicles), additional requirements for safety and inspection, diagnostics, maintenance and repair for those fuel sources apply.
