CH-81-01-2 -- A Review of Minicomputer Systems

Minicomputer applications are increasing in the building construction industry. This paper seeks to define the capabilities and characteristics of minicomputers for the user who is not knowledgeable in computer terminology. The components of a minicomputer are listed along with brief descriptions of their use. Classification of computer devices is included by function. An overview of mini-computer architecture is provided along with a differentiation from other classes of computers.
