Dedicated Heat Recovery Virtual Chiller Provides Savings for NASA

In 1999 NASA consolidated 32 building chilled water (CHW)systems into a single central chilled water plant (CCWP) at the Marshall SpaceFlight Center in Huntsville, Ala. The project described in this article is theinstallation of a dedicated heat recovery chiller (DHRC) as a virtual chillerat a laboratory building connected to the CCWP.
