The decarbonization of buildings is of paramount importance, and there are many pathways to achieve net-zero. However, electrification is not always practical for all buildings and climates, and it doesn't always reduce CO2 emissions. Therefore, carbon capture should be considered as part of the solution. This seminar presents three technical approaches to capture building CO2: from combustion exhaust (boilers, furnaces and power generation); from incoming natural gas supply, producing clean burning hydrogen fuel; and as CO2 direct air capture from the HVAC systems. All three opportunities will be presented in this comprehensive and cohesive seminar on carbon capture.
