To achieve 2050 decarbonization goals, several scientific and technological efforts are needed to electrify heating needs in residential/commercial buildings as well as in the industrial sector. This seminar provides an overview of the state-of-the-art advanced cycle architectures and configurations that will enable energy efficient heat pumping systems that will decarbonize heating processes. The seminar includes system level discussions as well as insights at the component level, along with considerations on low-GWP and natural refrigerants.
