The Impact of Outdoor Air Ventilation in School Corridors

As the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency reports, school environments affect attendance, concentration and performance of everyone inside school buildings, including students and educators. In this article, the authors present simulation results using the U.S. Department of Energy Secondary School prototype building to demonstrate the impact of providing outdoor air ventilation to the corridors above the current required rate in ASHRAE Standard 62.1-2022.
